General Info

Back Our Business Week:

As in the past, many of our local businesses partner with local nonprofit organizations for the week.  Businesses choose to donate either 5, 10, 15, or 20% of such sales to a local non-profit of their choice. The goal of Back Our Business Week is to give back to the businesses and local nonprofits that hold up our community by promoting and driving traffic while simultaneously building awareness of the wonderful aspects of our community.  At the moment, we have 34 businesses participating in Back Our Business week with the majority of them partnering with a local non-profit.

Background:

If you’re not familiar with Tigers Inc., we are a nonprofit organization run by high school students seeking to gain real-world experience throughout our Loveland community.

In 2021, Tigers Inc. organized Back Our Businesses, a week-long campaign to encourage community members to shop, eat, and support local businesses and nonprofits. During this week, we featured a strong community presence on Impact Night, an organized night of support for the Loveland community, complete with Loveland faculty, friends, and families in Downtown Loveland wearing orange. Our city officials, businesses, teachers, staff, and community members have been invaluable in these efforts.

This year, Tigers Inc. is collaborating with Loveland Legacy Foundation to continue the success of the past two years with this annual cause. Back Our Businesses 2022 will be taking place February 28-March 6, with Impact Night taking place on Friday, March 4th.

Back Our Business Week will be divided into 3 major themes this year.  Below outlines ways, you or your organization can help in those 3 areas:

1) Back Our Business Week  February 28- March 6

Repost, Create, and Share:  Within your network of influence, post information about Back Our Business Week (February 28-March 6) on Social Media.   Specifically think about ways you can participate with your group, or as an individual.  Eat, Shop, and Support Local!   You may begin officially posting about Back Our Business Week starting today 2/21/22 to build anticipation and participation for the upcoming week.

2) Impact Night  Friday, March 4th  (5:00 - 8:00 pm)

Impact Night, is an organized night of support for the Loveland community, complete with Loveland faculty, friends, and families in Downtown Loveland wearing orange. Our city officials, businesses, teachers, staff, and community members have been invaluable in these events.  Impact Night will take place from 5 pm-8 pm on Friday, March 4th in downtown Loveland. We expect there to be significant traffic Downtown. We encourage everyone to wear orange, and will have a Tigers Inc. area setup, organized activities, and open promotion on the site. Again, we will continue to promote our local organizations throughout the week, with special emphasis and traffic on Impact Night.

3) Show of Support   Friday, March 4th (5:00 -5:30)

The 'Show of Support' we are hoping to have students, student groups, parents, teachers, and community members line the streets of downtown Loveland from 5-5:30 pm.

Tigers Inc will have an information area set up by Alley Boutique where students, parents, and community members can arrive and pick up orange bead necklaces and additional posters. We are hoping to have signs for the different school buildings to help organize where the students will stand and make it clear where they will be located. The students are encouraged to make signs and we would love to have everyone wear orange to show off theirTtiger Pride.

We need your help to communicate this information to the younger students, student groups, and the rest of the district. We will make posters and social media communications that we are asking for you to post on your different platforms. We are hoping to build a lot of anticipation for this event and get the Loveland community excited! Let us know if you have any further questions or need anything else from us.

At the conclusion of the Show of Support, we are encouraging everyone to Eat, Shop, and Support our local businesses and non-profits!

Thanks again for all of you being so willing to help make this special!
